Professional Pilates on-demand
With more than a decade of experience in physiotherapy, Lyndsay Hirst has dedicated her career to helping patients overcome physical injuries and musculoskeletal conditions. Having established a successful Pilates studio in 2010, Lyndsay was determined to make professional, clinical Pilates more widely accessible. Bringing elements of the business online seemed the obvious direction, and when a video demonstration uploaded to her YouTube proved to be a hit, Lyndsay teamed up with husband Adam to make Your Pilates Physio a
Running classes almost exclusively through digital formats, Your Pilates Physio attracts a large audience, both nationally and internationally. From injury treatment to prevention, Lyndsay specialises in creating detailed pre-recorded and on-demand Pilates workouts tailored to her patients individual requirements, all based on the information they provide when registering online. Lyndsay’s clinical expertise has put Your Pilates Physio head and shoulders above businesses within the industry, all whilst delivering life-changing results for her patients.
When she isn’t putting together pre-recorded workouts, Lyndsay hosts more generalised live streams across four mornings a week. Her sessions are recorded and scheduled to stream again in the evening, before being archived to the Your Pilates Physio website. Recognising that increasing numbers of people are now choosing to work (and work out) from home, keeping to a set weekly timetable allows Lyndsay’s subscribers the freedom to join in live, or repeat sessions when it suits them.
Whether it’s guaranteeing fast upload of large video files to the website, or ensuring seamless live streaming from start to end, dependable broadband is a necessity for Your Pilates Physio to deliver a quality service for their subscribers. Already supported by Virgin Media’s ultra fast broadband at home, maintaining a connection that’s both high quality and consistent was a must when moving the business to new premises. Opting for business broadband was a no-brainer for Lyndsay and Adam, and it has proven vital to the ongoing success of Your Pilates Physio:
"Running a business like ours we massively, massively rely on a good connection. Virgin Media broadband has helped reduce the stress of running a business."
Lyndsay Hirst, Creator
Since the business’ broadband can easily handle the timely upload of large video files, Lyndsay is now able to film her pre-recorded workouts in higher quality and edit them with more detail. On the back of this, the pair made the decision to embed live streams within their business’ website, cutting out the need for external links and ensuring easy access for their subscribers. Eager to further utilise the capabilities of their business broadband, Lyndsay looks forward to expanding on her knowledge of physio by exploring new specialties and hopes to connect with local GP practices to create bespoke pages for their access on the business’ website. In the meantime, Adam has big plans for making the Your Pilates Physio app more user-friendly and engaging.
With fast and reliable broadband taken care of, Lyndsay and Adam have been given the confidence to invest further in digital. Empowering them to help larger numbers of individuals with their workouts and recovery, and a driving force in the overall improvement of the Your Pilates Physio customer experience, great broadband secures a positive future for the business.
