Connectivity reliable enough

An independent British watchmaker. Striking designs that reflect the vibrant, eclectic history of the business’ home in the heart of Camden. For co-founders Anneke and Jerome, The Camden Watch Company was the realisation of a dream - to create high fashion watches ingrained with the rich history and unique culture of Camden.

The Camden Watch Company began as a showcase, an opportunity for Anneke and Jerome to flex their creative muscles and pursue designs that they were passionate about. From a single pop up on Camden high street and a simple website, the business evolved into fully fledged stores and additional pop ups across the UK, developing a small but passionate team of people along the way.

"The Virgin Media package that we have is incredibly reliable and I think that's what's really key for us, we need an internet connection that works"

Anneke, The Camden Watch Company

Key to the success of business has been building lasting relationships with customers who love the detailed designs, based so closely on Camden’s heritage. For Jerome and Anneke, having repeat customers who feel such an affinity with the brand has almost made the process feel more like creating a family, rather than simply growing a business.

All of their passion and hard work was put to the test when 2020 happened however. The Camden Watch Company went from being a business with three retail stores and a website, to just a website. Rather than limit operations further however, they took the bold decision to double down on digital, revamping their online presence and investing even in more marketing activity. This shift meant that business broadband became an integral tool in their arsenal, allowing them to continue to deliver a flexible, responsive service, even whilst their physical stores were closed.

Even once stores reopened, digital continued to play an important role in The Camden Watch Company’s business model. From underpinning in-store sales to managing customer orders and requests, fast, reliable broadband continues to play a key part in delivering the kind of customer experience the business has become well known for.

For Anneke and Jerome, running a small business allows them to live and work on their own terms. Whether that means having the freedom to design the products that they’re passionate about, or learning new skills every day, The Camden Watch Company continues to bring their unique, creative approach to each new opportunity they’re presented with.
