Stroke is the fourth biggest killer and the leading cause of disability in the UK. And one thing in particular determines how much damage it does: time.    

The sooner you get treatment, the better. But that means patients unlucky enough to have a stroke outside core working hours for doctors, or who don’t happen to live near a hospital, are disproportionally at risk of serious harm.

We partnered with Royal Blackburn Hospital to overcome that imbalance, creating a small change that’s already having a massive impact on patients’ lives.
