HELP & ADVICE

JOINING VIRGIN MEDIA BUSINESS MOBILE

Switching Process Overview

If you want to keep your number, you can submit your ‘porting authorisation code’ (PAC) to us.

If you want to cancel your mobile service with your previous provider and do not want to take your mobile number with you, you can submit your ‘service termination authorisation code’ (STAC) to us.You can submit the PAC code or STAC code:

•    At the point of sale, along with your new order

•    Via our Website or Customer Care, if you are already using your Virgin Media Business  mobile phone

Your unique switching code is valid for 30 days, and, we recommend that you use your PAC code or STAC code within 26 days because we can’t transfer numbers at weekends or on Bank Holidays and public holidays.

However, if your PAC or STAC code expires before the switch is initiated, then you can request a new switching code from your previous provider, and, submit a new switch-in request.

From the 1st of July 2019, if your minimum period with your existing provider has expired and you do not want to continue your service, you can switch your service to VMB using PAC or STAC. You may also need to pay any final balance for your previous mobile service. Your existing provider should let you know the details of the charges as part of your final mobile bill.
