Partner Kick-off 2023 Event Highlights
On 28th February, Twickenham Stadium was the place to be as our Partner Kick-off 2023 event brought together our fantastic partners from across the UK. The atmosphere was electric as we celebrated the power of partnerships and shared our exciting plans for the year ahead.
Our Director of Virgin Media O2 Business Wholesale Fixed, Diego Tedesco, opened the event with a powerful speech that set the tone for the day. He shared our vision for 2023, highlighting our commitment to growth through innovative collaboration with our partners. Our strategy is built around three key areas: Foundations, Fixed Capability and Forensic Focus. We’re investing in better processes, expanding our network with a £10 billion investment, and prioritising our key partners to help them succeed.
Next up was a series of fireside chats, hosted by Raza Baloch, our Head of Business Partners and System Integrators and Ben Archer, Head of Carrier and Mobile. They discussed our Channel Strategy and how we’re making improvements to enhance the partner experience. Roshan Hansla, a Digital Product Owner at Virgin Media Business introduced our new suite of APIs that make it easier for partners to work with us seamlessly. Gemma McGinn, Partner Success Team Manager shared insights about our new operating model that takes a proactive approach to ensuring partner success. And Kat Randall Bowmaker, Head of Commercial at Wholesale introduced our new automated Smart Planning Tool that will help us sell, plan, and deliver on local market opportunities.
But that’s not all. James Audley, Head of Wholesale Strategy, Marketing and Business Performance, explained how best to leverage our infrastructure, and backhaul capabilities. Chloe Hathaway, our Customer Insight and Experience Manager alongside Diego Tedesco, Steve Hyde, Head of Service Delivery and Charlene Kilpatrick, Senior Operations Manager, reflected on our delivery performance, outlined our commitment to driving improvements and discussed short and long-term plans to enhance the customer experience.
And of course, we couldn’t forget about sustainability. Dana Haidan, Director of Sustainability at Virgin Media O2 introduced our Better Connections plan and shared how we’re building a sustainable future, together, through collaboration.
To wrap up the day, we had a motivating talk from rugby legend, Maggie Alphonsi, MBE followed by dinner, an address from Lutz Schuler, CEO of Virgin Media O2 thanking our partners and awards recognising our incredible partners’ achievements.
