What can I get now Virgin Media and O2 have come together?

When you're with both Virgin Media for business broadband and O2 Business for mobile, the services we bring you will be supercharged with Volt. On top of your Virgin Media broadband, have either a broadband speed boost or constant connect with 4G broadband back-up. And with your O2 mobile contract, have either a Double Data on all Volt SIMs or 1 x Mobile WiFi. On us and tailored to you when your business is with both Virgin Media and O2. 

 

How do I become eligible for Volt?
To unlock your exclusive Volt benefits, you need to have Virgin Media business broadband and an O2 Business Small Biz mobile contract. Once you have both, you'll be eligible for the exclusive Volt benefits.

Do I get exclusive Volt benefits when I join both Virgin Media and O2 business?
Yes, when you buy Virgin Media business broadband together with an O2 Business mobile contract you will be able to get these exclusive Volt benefits:

On top of your Virgin Media broadband, have either a broadband Speed Boost or Constant Connect with 4G broadband back-up. And with your O2 mobile contract, have either a Double Data on all Volt SIMs or 1 x Mobile WiFi. On us and tailored to you when your business is with both Virgin Media and O2.

How do I unlock excusive Volt benefits for my business?

How long will Volt be available?
There's no end date, but both Virgin Media and O2 reserve the right to change or withdraw the offer.

 

How will my Volt appear on my bills?
Once you have unlocked benefits, on your O2 bill under Services you'll see 'Mobile Data Boost'  and your increased data allowance or 'Mobile WiFi' with your data allowance.

On your Virgin Media business bill you will see 'Volt business discount' alongside 4G Back-up and/or 4G Start-up or Speed Boost

If you're a Virgin Media business customer with an eligible Voom 400, Voom 600, Voom 800 or Voom Gig1 plan, you just need to add an eligible O2 Small Biz product.

 

What if my business already has a Virgin Media mobile product?
Virgin Media mobile products aren’t eligible for the exclusive Volt benefits.Your business will need to move to an eligible O2 Small Biz product to unlock the exclusive Volt benefits.

 

How does my business move from Virgin Media Mobile to an eligible O2 Small Biz product?
Give the Virgin Media business sales team a call and request to move from your existing Virgin Mobile product to an eligible O2 Small Biz product.

 

What if my business already has Constant Connect with 4G broadband back-up?

If your business already uses eligible Voom Fibre Broadband and O2 Small Biz products and has an existing Constant Connect with 4G broadband back-up, you can choose to get your Constant Connect for FREE or continue with your paid Constant Connect and get a broadband Speed Boost at no extra cost. The Volt benefit cannot be changed in contract once applied. This will only apply going forward and won't be backdated to before you purchased both qualifying products. Voom Bundles include Constant Connect with 4G broadband back-up so the Volt Constant Connect benefit can't be added again, so a broadband Speed Boost will be applied. 

 

Does my business get free Constant Connect with 4G broadband back-up or broadband Speed Boost for each Virgin Media Business Broadband and O2 Small Biz connection?

The offer is limited to one free Constant Connect with 4G broadband back-up or broadband speed boost for each eligible Virgin Media business broadband and O2 Small Biz connection per site. Example: 10 broadband + 10 SIMO = 10 4G Dongles (10 broadband + 5 SIMO = 5 4G Dongles). 

 

What happens if my business orders and then cancels one of the services
If your business cancel before starting your service (in the cooling-off period), your business will lose its exclusive Volt benefits. Once your business has started using both services (and you're past your cooling-off period), the benefits will remain.

 

Will there be any extra fees with the O2 Small Biz plans and Volt?
As long as you have an eligible O2 Small Biz product, you'll enjoy the exclusive Volt benefits at no extra cost.

 

If my business already has eligible Virgin Media business broadband and O2 Small Biz products, can I get exclusive Volt benefits?

If I've already got VM Volt Constant Connect with 4G broadband back-up can I switch to a Speed Boost?
A Virgin Media customer chooses their Voom broadband Volt benefit when taking out their contract or taking the benefit for the first time. A customer cannot then move to a different Volt benefit without taking out a new contact. Eg. Move from Constant Connect with 4G broadband back-up to a broadband Speed Boost when recontracing.

I am already an O2 Small Business customer, how do I sign up?

Sign up to Virgin Media business broadband and you can choose Double Data on all Volt SIMs or 1 x Mobile WiFi on one of our eligilbe O2 Small Business tariffs

 

What if I already have O2 Broadband?
To unlock the exclusive Volt benefits, you will need to move your broadband to our Virgin Media business broadband.

 

How do I move from O2 Broadband to Virgin Media Broadband?
Please call O2 Business Customer Services on 0800 977 7337 who will arrange the transfer for you.

 

When will my chosen benefit get applied?

We will double your mobile data within 48 hours of the Virgin Media business broadband order being confirmed.If you choose a Mobile WiFi unit this will be a next working-day delivery, pending stock availability.

 

Will I receive mobile benefits for all connections on my account?
We'll apply your mobile benefits for every eligible mobile connection per account. Eligible mobile connection means the new or renewed mobile connections on your account.

 

What happens if I order and then cancel one of the services?
If you cancel before starting your service (in the first 14 days of the O2 mobile contract) then you will lose all exclusive Volt benefits.

 

I want to understand how my bills will change

For customers with supercharged benefits: Your Double Data on all Volt SIMs will be reflected on your bill. This will show under Services as Mobile Data Boost and will see this in your increased mobile data allowance. Your bills and Direct Debits will continue to come from O2 for your mobile. If you take a Mobile Wifi it will show as free of cost with any additional data charges being shown on your bill. If you choose to take a 5GB or above bundle on the Mobile WiFi option, the monthly subscription cost will be shown on your bill. You will receive a separate bill from Virgin Media for business broadband.

Where will I see my Volt benefits?

You will see the exclusive Volt benefit in My O2 Business or on your monthly business bill – It will show as Volt. Your broadband benefit will show on your Virgin Media business bill. This will show as a £0 charge for 4G Back-up Service (VOLT).  If you take a broadband Speed Boost, this will be represented by a £9p/m discount against the speed you receive.  For example, if you obtain a speed boost on the Voom 400 product taking you to 600Mb, you'll see a charge for Voom 600 at £42 & a £9 discount - equating to £33 per month

 

Who do I contact if I have a query about Volt?

Will this impact the customer service I get from O2?
No, we’ll still bring you the same level of customer service you expect from O2.

 

Will this mean my O2 contract will change?
No, your contract won’t change.

 

Will my bills or Direct Debits change?
No, your bills and Direct Debits will stay exactly how they are and will continue to come from O2.

 

Will my O2 network signal be disrupted?
Not at all. Your signal won’t be affected, you will have the same network experience you normally have on O2. If you ever have any issues, use our network status checker.

 

Does this change how I make queries about my O2 account?

No, nothing changes. We'll continue to provide customer service for everyone on O2 through the normal channels on our website, call centres and stores.

 

Will O2 be sharing my personal data with Virgin Media, and will that mean they can now contact me?

Yes, we'll need to share some information so that we can work as one. But it'll still be us, O2, looking after your data the same way we always have, in line with our Privacy Policy. You can also see Virgin Media’s Privacy Policy here. If you’ve opted out of receiving marketing messages you won't hear anything.

 

Does this change how I make queries about my Virgin Media account or report a fault?
No, nothing changes. Virgin Media will continue to provide customer service for your Virgin Media service. Contact Virgin Media directly here.

 

Can Virgin Media customers get help on Virgin Media products/services in an O2 store?
No nothing changes for now, O2 stores only offer support on O2 products and services. Virgin Media customers will need to go directly to Virgin Media for any queries on their products and services. They should contact Virgin Media the same way they normally would.

 

Can I see my Virgin Media information in the My O2 Business app?
No, you can't view your Virgin Media account infromation in My O2. You'll need to go to MyBill

 

I'm on Virgin Mobile, will I automatically switch to O2?
No, your Virgin Mobile contract won't automatically switch to O2. If you're a customer of Virgin Media broadband and you'd like to access the exclusive Volt benefits, you'll need to switch your current mobile contract to O2.

 

If I've already got O2 Volt Double Data can I switch to Mobile WiFi?

A customer chooses their Volt benefit when taking out their contract or taking the benefit for the first time. A customer cannot then move to a different Volt benefit without taking out a new contact. Eg. Move from O2 Double Data to Mobile WiFi when recontracing.

 

If I've already got O2 Volt Double Data can I get it on subsequent SIMs?

Yes. If a customer chooses Volt Double Data Boost they can have it applied on up to 9 SIMs (including those in devices). This can be applied all in one go or over a period of time as people add the additional SIMs to their Voltable account.

How will my bills change?
