Is your broadband the same as BT's?

There’s only two nationwide fibre optic networks in the UK – BT’s and ours. If you’re in a Virgin Media cabled area your broadband will be supplied directly by us. But if you’re not, we can still provide fibre broadband with speeds up to 76Mbps.

Can Virgin Media Business provide me with the fastest broadband in my area?

Our ultrafast 300Mbps business broadband is the fastest widely available fibre broadband in the UK. Why? We use underground coaxial cables, powered by DOCSIS 3 technology, between the cabinet in the street and your business premises. This design of cable is far superior to a regular copper cable as it can hold on tight to top speeds over longer distances, giving you a better broadband experience than other widely available broadband providers who use copper cables to reach you.

What’s the minimum contract length for business broadband?

24 months.

What upload speeds can I get?

  • Up to 300Mbit/s download -  up to 15Mbps upload.
  • Up to 200Mbps download -  up to 15Mbps upload
  • Up to 100Mbps download -  up to 15Mbps upload
  • Up to 50Mbps download -  up to 5Mbps upload

If you’re looking for something even faster, we also offer dedicated internet access that provides the same speeds both up and down. Prices start from £325 a month for symmetrical 30Mbit/s bandwidth but we also offer speeds up to a whopping 1Gbit/s.

Is ‘Unlimited’ really unlimited?

Yes. There’s no caps on how much you can download.

Why should I get business broadband instead of regular broadband?

All of our business broadband packages comes with unlimited usage so there’s no cap on downloads. Plus, you’re likely to get the fastest speeds possible 24/7 as there’s no traffic management Monday-Friday 8am-6m and even outside of these hours typically only 5% of customers are affected. You also get a business-grade SLA with 24/7 support via a free 0800 number and a free static IP upon request..

Do I have to pay line rental if I don't need a phone line?

If you’re in a Virgin Media cabled area, you can buy our business broadband on its own without a phone line.

Can I order additional phone lines with my broadband bundle?

Our business broadband bundles all come with a single phone line as standard but if you want more no problem. And if you order alongside your broadband, there’s no additional installation costs, either.

Can I buy a mobile SIM?

You can bolt on a range of 4G SIM only packages either when you order your broadband or any time after. Customers who buy either 100, 200 or 300Mbps broadband can get 4G SIMs from just £12 a month with unlimited minute and text, plus 1GB of data. 4G SIMs for other broadband packages are available from £13 a month.

CHECKING SPEEDS AND ORDERING

How do I check if you can provide me with fibre broadband?

You can quickly do this online here by providing your postcode and phone number. Not in a Virgin Media cabled area? Not to worry. We can still provide FTTC fibre broadband with speeds up to 76Mbps.

Can I buy online?

Yes. You can our business broadband products online 24/7. You just need your installation and contact details, plus your bank or building society account number and sort code to set up your direct debit. Get started here or call our sales team on 0800 052 1135. 

What offers are currently available?

For a limited period until 17th February 2017, you pay nothing for the first three months on Broadband 200 and Broadband 300 bundles, including free installation.

What happens after I’ve ordered my Virgin Media Business services?

We make your joining process as simple as we can and have put together an overview here of what you can expect.

How will I get my bills?

We can provide all customers with access to our MyBill billing portal which gives you instant access to your invoices. Find out more here. Alternatively, for an additional monthly cost, we can provide paper billing.

SWITCHING TO US

Is there any downtime when I switch to Virgin Media Business?

We always try to minimise any interruption to your service as we switch you over. But for added peace of mind, as we own our own network, if you’re in a Virgin Media cabled area you can choose to keep your existing service until we connect you.

Please note you’ll need to continue paying your current provider if you do this, plus it’s your responsibility to cancel your existing services.  Virgin Media Business can’t be held responsible if your existing provider fails to do this.

If I switch, can I keep my current phone number?

Yes, normally you can keep your BT phone number and stop paying BT line rental if you’re staying in the same local area. Just let us know when you buy online or speak to our sales team.

How can I contact Customer Services if I have a question or fault?

If you’re unlucky enough to have a fault, please call us on 0800 052 0800. We’re available 24/7. For anything else, including billing enquiries and technical support, please use our form.
