IP Site Connect Business SIP Trunking

SIP Trunking - bringing voice and data together

We don’t like to shout about it, but the way businesses and organisations use voice services is changing. Instead of traditional methods to deliver voice and data separately, our SIP Trunking solution, IP Site Connect, means you can now use a data pipe for both. The benefits? More cost-effective, more efficient and future-proof. Now, that’s something to look forward to.

With all your voice and data traffic flowing through highly efficient circuits backed up with the UK’s largest nationwide fibre optic network and one of the biggest TDM voice networks in the country, our SIP Trunking solution gives you a business grade spec you can rely on.

How does it work?

Put as simply as possible, IP Site Connect uses a secure IP VPN (Layer 3) connection from our nationwide fibre optic network to connect your IP PBX to our soft switch.

It’s this connection that allows your voice traffic to be carried as VoIP (Voice over IP) over our network and on to the PSTN (Public Switched Telephony Network). And you can continue to make and receive calls from the outside world just as you can with a traditional phone line.

Features & Benefits

IP Site Connect Business SIP Trunking

SIP Trunking - bringing voice and data together

Why should you choose IP Site Connect?

  • Keep the phone features you need – DDI (Direct Dialling Inwards), CLI (Call Line Identity), CLIP (Caller Line Identity Presentation), CLIR (Caller Line Identity Restriction) and Presentation Numbers are all supported.
  • Ensure your organisation is ready for Unified Communications - using IP Site Connect will mean you can relax knowing that your business is future-proofed for easy integration with leading vendor solutions.
  • Harness the UK’s largest nationwide fibre optic network – it runs past the door of 85% of UK businesses and delivers SIP Trunking at the speed of light.
  • Benefit from access resilience - we can offer the added assurance of a secondary transport route between our network and your network to get SIP Trunking traffic to its destination.

The savings start here:

  • First off, where IP Site Connect is replacing an existing ISDN30 network, cost efficiencies can be made as the rental charges on SIP Trunking are typically lower than on ISDN30.
  • Furthermore, because SIP Trunks can be shared between multiple sites, you can generally reduce the number of channels you need compared with ISDN30 which is installed at each site.
  • You’ll also save on installation charges where voice is added to data, as fewer engineer site visits are required, meaning reduced costs to you and of course less disruption to your organisation.
  • It's easier with SIP: our SIP Trunking solution is more flexible when moving or changing your services. Why? Because there’s less reason to alter, change or modify phone sockets, re-route cabling or pull up floorboards. We believe in smooth operations.
  • Upgrade your organisation's telephony at your pace. If you’re looking to replace your legacy telephony equipment with IP telephony, but don’t want to immediately replace all of your traditional phone lines with SIP Trunking, we can work with you to on a migration plan to ensure a smooth transition.

Detailed Info

IP Site Connect Business SIP Trunking

SIP Trunking - bringing voice and data together

What is SIP Trunking?

Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) is a communications ‘standard’ that’s becoming universally adopted for business communications across the globe. SIP Trunking uses this standard to allow VoIP (Voice over IP) calls to be made to and from traditional phone lines, across a data network.

Because SIP Trunking is able to consolidate voice and data traffic over a single network connection, you no longer need to split out your voice and data traffic, which can deliver considerable cost savings.

Our IP Site Connect product lets you get the most out of your network investments by delivering business voice over our Managed or Unmanaged IPVPN service..

We can connect to a range of IP PBXs and other equipment  Just contact us to find out more.

Why use SIP Trunking instead of ISDN30?

SIP Trunking is the evolutionary successor to ISDN30, offering the following benefits:

  • SIP is now the standard on which IP PBXs are built. By deploying our SIP Trunking service, you can avoid having ISDN30 circuits at each site, and be assured that you are future proofing your business for Unified Communications.
  • Any spare connectivity capacity can be used for Internet access and WAN connectivity.

Your networking requirements

Peaks and congestion can occur with many networks, so to make sure call quality remains consistent, your LAN or WAN should be QoS enabled, end-to-end.

Installation

We’ll manage your migration to IP Site Connect to avoid any interrupted service for your business or organisation.
