Internet Security company AVG uses ntl:Telewest Business
services to help create new jobs
AVG, the global Internet Security company that protects home and
business computer users against viruses and web threats, has chosen
ntl:Telewest Business to deliver a next generation telecoms system
for customer support at its new UK headquarters, creating 18
jobs.
ntl:Telewest Business, part of the Virgin Media group, has
deployed its IP Voice service to enable AVG to create a
sophisticated call management system quickly and cost-effectively
as it continues to expand its operations.
AVG relocated from premises in Barnbygate, Newark to
purpose-built offices on the town’s Glenholm Park business park in
February. ntl:Telewest Business delivered next generation telecoms
network connectivity and a voice management platform in just 19
days, enabling AVG to move its customer support centre quickly and
recruit the extra personnel. IP Voice is part of the ntl:Telewest
Business IP Multimedia product suite and provides organisations
with a single, hosted platform for managing all voice calls
flexibly.
"Our frontline customer support personnel are vital to the
continuing growth of our business," said Michael Foreman, Managing
Director, AVG. "ntl:Telewest Business had the appetite to help us
meet our relocation timescales and the sophisticated network
services we needed to create a better contact centre
environment."
"We’ve taken a customer-centric approach to delivering next
generation services so that AVG could support its own growth
objectives. Technologies like this are enabling companies to create
more flexible contact centre platforms faster, without the need for
such capital outlay as would have been needed in the past," said
David Edges, Business Development Manager for ntl:Telewest Business
in the East Midlands.
