support team is on hand 24/7 to deal with follow-up fault and
support calls.
Resilience
For business critical applications, we can provide a number of
resilient options for our Managed Internet Access service. Our
special MIA pre-sales team will help design a solution to give you
added reassurance. For example, we can give you two completely
independent connections to our network, with automatic switchover
in the event of one of them failing (called dual-homing). And if
you need even greater resilience, our multi-homing option means you
can automatically switch over to an entirely different provider’s
connection, in the unlikely event of a fault with ours.

SMTP mail backup
Our Managed Internet Access service provides you with the
facility for using the Virgin Media Business
SMTP
backup service as a Secondary server to your
mail server. So if your Primary email server ever becomes
unavailable, incoming email can be picked up by our service, and
forwarded on to your Primary email server once it’s back
online.
Security options
A firewall is an essential component of any internet connection.
A Managed Firewall from Virgin Media Business can be provided
in addition to your Managed Internet Access service to help secure
your business whilst removing the burden of monitoring and
maintaining a firewall solution yourself.
