Managed PBX Services
The Central Exchange
We deliver our Centrex service from the Public Switched Telephony Network (PSTN) via our fibre optic network. With the exception of desktop equipment, you don’t need customer premise equipment (CPE), as we supply and manage the service direct from the Local Exchange (LE). Each individual Centrex extension is a direct line terminating at the Central Exchange. The Central Exchange is partitioned into any number of private Centrex customer groups, each completely secure from the other. Software levels within each exchange support a full suite of Centrex business features. Each feature that you select will be pre-programmed against each direct line or group of lines ordered and tailored to work in line with your individual or departmental requirements.
Contention Ratio
Centrex benefits from a 1:1 contention that eliminates any capacity constraints around incoming and outgoing call scenarios. This means that there’s no need to undertake detailed traffic analysis to justify the cost of expensive trunk capacity.
Networking
As well as offering unprecedented networking capabilities, Centrex provides many key benefits over a PABX. For example, it’s easy to incorporate multiple company locations into one common platform. What’s more, remote locations and even existing PABXs can be connected to the Centrex service. And it can also support a hybrid solution by integrating a nominated site into a Virtual Private Network (VPN) using Digital Private Network Signalling System (DPNSS).
Implementation
Our friendly experts will ensure that your Centrex service is installed with minimum disruption to your organisation. To begin with, our sales specialists, supported by our highly skilled business solution consultants, will identify your current and future requirements and design a solution tailored to your needs. The operational support divisions steer the agreed design from inception to completion with a full and/or phased install programme, according to your timescales. We also allocate a dedicated training officer to ensure all immediate and ongoing training requirements are fulfilled.
IP Telephony options
With IP Multimedia from us, you can introduce multimedia communications gradually across your network. IP Multimedia can be used with:
- Your existing PBX
- Network hosted (Centrex) services
- Existing analogue phones and equipment.
We’ve loads of experience in managing change in communications, so before implementing IP Multimedia, our network design teams will work with you to specify your requirements and prepare your network.
IP Multimedia is a fully-managed service, allowing your IT staff to concentrate on other stuff. It operates over our national IP Network, monitored 24/7, and you only need to lease the functionality or capacity that your business demands.
We’ve developed a range of packages that deliver basic and advanced features and services on different terminal platforms, depending on your day-to-day needs. These include options for office-based staff, those requiring mobile communications or remote access and even specialised workers such as call centre personnel. Enhanced voice capabilities can be accessed either through feature codes on analogue handsets or feature keys on IP telephones and soft phones. And here are the packages:
