Virgin Media Business is proud to announce that John Maund, Sales Manager for the southern region, has won the ‘Sales Manager of the Year’ category at the British Excellence in Sales and Marketing Awards (BESMA). The award recognises his outstanding achievements and results for Virgin Media Business.
The award for best sales manager within a company with 50 or more employees is one of the most highly sought after accolades within the BESMA community. John fought off tough competition from hundreds of entrants and several strong finalists, including representatives from, nPower, Royal Mail and Dell, to win the award at the recent finalist dinner and gala, held on 27th May at the Lancaster Hotel, London.
This award recognises John’s fantastic achievements in managing some of Virgin Media Business’s largest public sector accounts. His outstanding customer relationship skills and successful sales efforts over 2009 is what impressed the judges the most, as well as his team’s high contract retention figures.
Mark Heraghty, Managing Director, Virgin Media Business said “We pride ourselves on employing great staff who seek to go above and beyond what is expected of them in order to deliver the best possible service to our customers. I am very pleased for John who thoroughly deserves this award in recognition of his superb work over the past year.”
Virgin Media Business was also represented in three other categories, with each representative receiving a finalist spot; categories included, ‘Sales Professional of the Year,’ ‘New Sales Professional of the Year’ and ‘Sales/Customer Service Team of the Year.’ This is the first award of its kind for Virgin Media Business since it’s re-brand earlier this year.
