What they mean for your business
1) What is the charge?
From the 1st of January 2010, any calls received on 0800 numbers originating from payphones will incur a 12 pence per minute (ppm) charge in addition to the standard 0800 charge. This is an industry norm and other telecoms providers levy this charge. Please note that payphone originating calls do not qualify for any discounting.
2) Where will the charge be shown on my invoice?
This charge will be shown as part of the standard 0800 itemised call details under the 0800 number on your invoice.
3) I think this new charge is unfair; can I be exempt from the charges?
Unfortunately, no. This charge applies to all customers who have an 0800 number service with us.
