Hampshire Fire and Rescue Service is already saving £80,000 a year. And as well as 51 fire stations, it’s sharing the network with local councils so firefighters can collaborate quickly and easily with colleagues in other public sector organisations.

Through its out of hours Telestroke service, Cumbria and Lancashire NHS trusts can now provide rapid diagnosis for stroke victims over a secure video link. As well as saving 24 more lives, it’s expected to save the NHS more than £8 million a year.
