A fresh approach

Welcome to the latest edition of Wholesale Solutions – an online magazine dedicated to the issues that matter to you, our wholesale customers. You’ll notice some important changes in this issue, not least our rebranding to Virgin Media Business from ntl:Telewest Business. Naturally, there are changes to the look and feel of the branding – but that’s the easy bit.

Over the last three years, we’ve invested a heck of a lot in getting the basics right and in bringing ourselves together into the company we are today. This year, we’re investing as much as we can in our network so we can meet your ever-changing needs both now and in the future. We’re bringing our technology and the Virgin way of thinking into the business telecoms market and helping find new ways of driving your network forward.

We want to make a difference. Whether you’re a sprawling multi-site corporation or a growing local business, we’ll work with you to provide not only immediate solutions but also ways in which you can unlock your network’s potential and achieve your longer term goals. And with 40 offices nationwide – not forgetting 186,000km of fibre optic cable and 38,000 street cabinets across the country – we’re pretty well placed to help transform the way your organisation works.

My own background is in wholesale, through nine years with Energis Communications Ltd as Director of Channels and through my time as a VP of sales with Reliance Globalcom. As Director of Wholesale Markets for Virgin Media Business, it’s my job, and that of my team, to see that you can measure ongoing improvements in what we deliver, as well as ensure key areas of clear differentiation between us and the alternatives.

We want to create a relationship with our customers, where you tell us what you want to achieve and we listen. This magazine is one of the ways in which we’ll share our thoughts on the market with you, offering our advice and asking you to tell us more about your experiences.
